Well since I last wrote something it was to do with Remembrance when we honour those killed due to armed conflict and mourn the cost of war and pray for a better world. However there has been more atrocities and carnage. Thankfully we have the season of Advent, a time when we bring some light and hope into our lives. We begin to think of Christmas trees and Advent wreaths. This Sunday we light the first candle ion our wreath in the church and so we symbolically ignite the light of hope, that hope which burns in the heart of every Christian, the hope of Christ. Let us pray that the Prince of Peace will reign in more and more hearts this Christmas and may we seek to spread amongst everyone in our communities a spirit of goodwill so that we can live at peace and accept each other, this is surely Christ's will for us.
